Thank you notes... and finally some dry weather!

Morning everyone, I hope you had a good weekend? I had another very busy weekend, but I can't believe it's already Monday already..... but at least this weekend coming we have a long one as in the UK we have Monday 27th off too... yipppeeeeeee.

Anyway, here are a few Thank you cards I made last week which went into my Customer orders to let them know how much I appreciate their continued business and support.... I hope they liked them.
I really like to put a thank you card into their order bag. It says a big thank you, and it also showcases stamp sets and ink colours that perhaps they wouldn't normally have thought about using.
I have used the "Oh, Hello" stamp set and used Early Espresso and Melon mambo ink.
Here I have used Early Espresso and Elegant Eggplant ink.
I then stamped the gorgeous flower in the matching ink on the inside so it wasn't blank!
Isn't it cute... and it's so quick and simple to make a batch of these so you don't get caught short when you receive and unexpected gift or random act of kindness!

Over the weekend I also managed to squeeze in the first grass cut of the year for my back garden... every time it was nice I was at work, and when I was home it was too wet...until yesterday!! You can see it desperately needed the cut didn't it... Come and have a look.

I hope you like today's cards, and remember, I can order any Stampin' Up! supplies for you and have them delivered directly to your door! Or if your wish list is more than £100, why not consider joining my team? Click here to join me today!

Rain stopped play.... well, videoing!

Good afternoon lovely blog friends.... thank goodness it's finally Friday - what a week!!!
So, after my wonderful weekend at Telford and my presentation last Saturday I decided I was going to try my hand at doing a video to upload to YouTube to show you my background technique!! and last night after work was going to be the night..... unfortunately, the weather had other plans. It went from being so bright and sunny to dull and huge black clouds in minutes... and it rained so hard for hours that the noise was like I had a huge army of mice all with "Hob Nailed" boots stomping on my roof!!! So, sadly, the video will have to wait for another day, hopefully I'll be able to do this over the weekend and I'll post it on here.

So, in the meantime, here is a card I made using the technique to tease you a little more.....
I hope you like today's card, and remember, I can order any Stampin' Up! supplies for you and have them delivered directly to your door! Or if your wish list is more than £100, why not consider joining my team? Click here to join me today!

Stampin' Up! training, Telford, UK... and my first ever presentation!

Wow, what a whirl-wind weekend it's was, but boy has it was fun-packed and exciting!

I while back I was secretly asked by Stampin' Up! to present at the regional training in Telford - to which I said YES, of course! I absolutely love these events because I get to meet up with like minded demonstrators from all over the UK and I have formed so many wonderful friendships for which I am very grateful for! I always come home buzzing and on a high with so many ideas, notes and oodles of wonderful memories and photos!

Here are a few of my swaps I made to exchange for other demo's creations. This is a great way to get inspired and share ideas. I also made a matching name badge... and as one of my Team was attending, and this was her very first SU event, I made her a Pink Owl badge, which she loved!

No-one in my team knew I was presenting on Saturday, until this slide went up! and I can tell you there were gasps and then some very loud whistling! (Thank you Pinkies!)

I'm on the right, sitting patiently for my mic to be switched on so I could start! And the vision in white is my partner in crime - the lovely Gina Connor who was up after me. Great to meet you Gina, and thanks for you support. (picture credit - Lucy Tustian)
I was demoing several background techniques. Now I'll admit, it's not a new thing, but I wanted to show how simple and easy it really is to do... and I got plenty of ooooohs and aaaaaahs, which made me smile, and James our cameraman was just awesome at zooming in making sure everyone could see what I was doing.
You can see on the screen my technique in full flow...I'm so glad I had time to paint my fingernails... LOL.
Here are two of the finished cards I made to show what it could look like.... what do you think??

I hope you like what I made... I'd love to hear your comments - it makes me go all warm and fuzzy!

But stay tuned to my blog as I am going to be very brave (especially since I've now been on stage and presented to over 300 demonstrators!!!|) and make a video showing you how to do each of these backgrounds... so that you can then give it a go - you'll be hooked once you try!

May monthly card class.... Happy Father's Day

Well hello.... what a difference a day makes, the weather is grey and wintry here looking compared to the gorgeous weather we had yesterday.... I am back to my many layers!!

So, last night I held my monthly card class, and I was joined by my regular lovely ladies!

Many of them like to have cards made in advance of the celebrated occasion, so I made sure I had this card prepped for this month so it could be sent in time for Sunday 16th June 2013.
This is the first card we made.... very James Bond isn't it! I researched on the internet what dress shirts looked like and here is what I came up with..... what do you think?
This card would work well as a male birthday card, or a Graduation card, or even a Wedding card.
I really love the monochromatic-ness of this card... very classy, and it's so clean and simple (well, not if you have black ink on your fingers... it goes everywhere!!!)

Stampin' Up! supplies used:
Card Stock - Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink – Basic Black (pg 156) Versamark (pg 159)
Stamp sets – Delightful Dozen (Pg 141) Dapper Dad (pg 14 Spring/Summer)
Buttons – Sweet Buttons Embloslits (pg 188)
White Embossing powder (Pg 159)
Anti-static Embossing Buddy – (Pg 159)
Simply Scored tool – (pg 181)

Surprise gift for a Crafting Friend.....

Well, what a lovely sunny morning it is today.... what a shame I will be at work all day.

Anyway, I hope you all had a relaxing Bank Holiday weekend... I managed some crafting, spent time with family and also had some "ME" time which I don't get that often so it was all the nicer!

On Saturday, Sandie Brain, a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator from the same team I'm in came over to spend the day crafting with me. We always have a great day and this one was no exception! So I saw a gift for her a while back and decided I needed to make something to put it in..... come and have a look at what I did.

It needed to be sturdy and strong... so I reached for the Natural Composition Specialty Paper (It's more like card stock) and then I knew it had to have some pink on it as the lady in question LURVES pink!!! And it also had to be sparkly....
I did a whole lot of measuring the present to work out how big, wide and tall the box had to be, and it fitted perfectly - phew!
I wanted a simple sentiment... nothing soppy or OTT (over the top!) and I love this stamp set called Occasions Alphabet, it's one of my "go to" sets.
Here is a close up of the sparkles and the tag.
And here is what caused all this.... the gift!

The chocolate was a must and the mug saying is sooooo her, and she howled with laughter when she opened the present and gave me permission to share it with you all today! Thanks for a great day of crafting Sandie...

You can buy all of these items used in today's project from me, just drop me an Email or call me on 07828 149666 and I can have the order delivered to you anywhere in the UK for £4.95 direct from or warehouse in Germany, great huh? Okay, how about this - anyone who places a £25 or more order from 7th - 12th May for any of these items used today will get a FREE emailed tutorial of how to make this gift bag.... but you have to quote "gift bag" on your order....

Stampin' Up! products used:
Box - Natural Composition Specialty Paper (Pg 162)
Paper - Floral District DSP (pg 163)
Sparkly paper - Glimmer paper - Silver (pg160)

Pinwheel card from April's card class.....

Well hello lovely blog friends... I bet you wondered where I had gone didn't you? Sorry, things have been a little bit hectic and the blogging had to take a back seat... but I'm back!!

Here is one of the cards we made at April's card class. I found it in blogland and decided to CASE from a very talented crafter called Kerry Timms.
I hate throwing away offcutts of card or DSP, so I decided we'd use them on the inside of the card so it looks a little bit like decorative ribbon... cute isn't it.
Here you can see the gorgeous pin wheel die, cut out from DSP and held together by a tiny silver brad. And the Cloudy Day embossing folders works perfectly for this card.
I love the simplicity of this card and so did the Ladies, and it's so quick to ake too!

Stampin' Up! products used:
Card stock - Primrose petals, Whisper White, Baja Breeze
DSP - Patio Party
Stamp - Wishes Your Way
Accessories - Cloudy Day embossing folder, Mini Silver brad, Sizzlits Pinwheel die, Big Shot, paper snips, Tombow glue, dimensionals, Stampin' Trimmer.

I hope you liked today's card, and in the meantime, remember, if you would like to purchase any of these or the retiring products: inks, card stock and accessories then don't delay, can call or email me today with your order. Get them before they sell out!

Thanks for stopping by today, see you again soon!

"Happy day to you" - April card class....

Hello everyone, how are you today, hope you are well? me, I am full of cold but getting better, thankfully!

Last night I held my monthly card class and it was such a lovely night... it was relaxed, fun and very productive! One of the cards made was a complete CASE (copy and share everything) of a card I received last year from my Upline Michelle Last when I promoted to Silver 1.... it's been sitting on my shelf since the day I received it, pride of place, staring at me and making me smile..... so I thought, it's so lovely I wanted to share it. So I changed the colours and the sentiment and here it is.

I absolutely adore the "Naturals Composition Specialty" 12x12" DSP (Pg 162 126917 at £11.50) It's not paper really, it's more like a sturdy card weight, and it's already embossed so Stampin' Up! have done all the hard work for us!
I paired it up with Perfect Plum and also Very Vanilla card stock and used the stamp set called "Friendly Phrases" which is one of my go to sets at the moment, it has so many good sentiments. (Pg 144 in wood or clear) stamped in Basic grey ink and the finishing touch was a small pearl (Basic Pearls 119247 £4.50 for 150, pg 175)

And here is a close up of the gorgeous flower called "Floral Fusion" (Sizzlit die 115969 £4.95 pg 191) and topped off with a "Bitty Button" (118761 £4.50 for 64 buttons, 4 shapes, 16 of each, pg 176) and Baker's Twine in Wisteria Wonder (125576 22.9m £2.50 pg 172)

In the meantime, remember, if you would like to purchase any of the retiring products: inks, card stock and accessories then don't delay, can call or email me today with your order. Get them before they sell out!

More Easter gifts...

Well as you can see, I was a busy crafty bunny over the weekend and made some Easter gifts for my Sister and my Niece and Nephews.
This first one gift was for my Sister, she has ALWAYS loved Cadbury's Creme Eggs.... but I have never liked them. I remember when we were kids my Sister spent her pocket money on buying me a Creme egg for Easter and I did the same back for her. But I didn't have the heart to tell her I really dislike them with a passion. So I forced myself to eat it in front of her with a big smile whilst gagging... and this happened every year... until one year when I plucked up the courage to tell her... she couldn't believe I didn't tell her sooner!! And the Easter's after that I got White chocolate buttons... mmmmm my favourite!

I made the box for them to sit in and made the cover from Stampin' Up!'s Window sheet, cool huh?
And these were for my Niece and Nephews, as I couldn't leave them out!
I made simple carry handles for each one and used the "Birds of a Feather" DSP.

I hope you all had a restful Easter, I know I did, but coming back to work was hard.... I could get used to a four day weekend more often!!

I would really love to help you with anything you may need so please, orders, Stampin' Up! parties at yours to earn FREE Hostess £££'s , enquiries, card classes or information on joining my team, so please do not hesitate to get in touch with me at lynne.fahey@gmail.com or 07828 149666. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
